Reminder about inclement weather

Well, the weather report is saying we could see some snow overnight, so it’s a good time to brush up on our weather-emergency policy:

In cases of inclement weather, an announcement will be posted on Quark’s website no later than 5:45 a.m. regarding whether the college is open, closed, or operating on a delayed schedule. It is the responsibility of each member of the Quark community to determine the college’s status during weather emergencies. Any faculty who decide to not come in when the college is open MUST post a notice on Quark’s “Classes Today” page or, if they have not yet received training on how to use the online form for that page, they must contact their departmental secretary with all relevant class information. Please do so as soon as possible, since many of our students commute long distances or by public transportation, and need more than an hour’s notice for all class cancellations.

Keep an eye on that weather report and check in tomorrow morning to see where we stand. And everyone, stay safe out there–even rain can be dangerous to drive in if you don’t take sensible precautions.
